About Benedetta

 Benedetta Dentuto is a music composer, sound designer and sound editor for TV and Media content.

She attended conservatoire in Italy getting a classical piano and solfeggio diploma and she is now completing her last year at BIMM University London, enrolled in the course BA(Hans) Music Production and Songwriting with a specialisation in film music composition .

She's been involved in various projects since the start of her music career, she has collaborated to albums as a music producer, co-artist and songwriter, she has experience in studio as audio engineer and recording engineer, and moreover, she has experience as sound recordist on film sets.

She is London based, for Sound Recordist jobs on set.

She worked as Sound Designer, Music Composer and Sound Editor for various published short films which you can find here in her portfolio.

Her compositional approach usually reflects her main sonic references; classical orchestral pieces, baroque and modern classical, electronic and futuristic synth-based music, pop and rock influences, and many other genres she's been listening and studying during her life as a musician, singer, songwriter and producer.

She is a foley artist and foley editor, records foleys and sounds in her home studio and/or outdoor being a field recorder as well. 

She is known from her clients for her professional work approach, ambitious personality, and attention to details.

She is bubbly and creative and often finds unconventional techniques and original ways to reproduce and record sounds and musical cues needed in a scene or song.

She started as a songwriter and music producer in the 2015, after putting up her first home studio recording back in her hometown, in south Italy.

Since always being in love with films, she started composing classical music and realised that one of the things she liked the was scoring films and working to how a film sounds, as her two biggest passions were music and cinema. 

After moving to London in the 2018, she started university and, as a music producer, she started 

collaborating with London-based artists for independent and student film projects and artists' albums in her home studio in North East London.

She participated to various music contests for performance skills and composition, such as "8° National Contest of Music Igor Stravinsky" (1st award won), "EuroOrchestra International Contest New Interprets 2007" (Piano Soloist 1st award won), "FMC (Film Music Contest)", "Rec 'n Play Music Contest", and some other film scoring contests.
